If five days isn't enough Mozambique, our November 2026 group trip stretches the experience to a full week — two unhurried nights in Maputo followed by four lazy days on Bilene's lagoon.
**Days 1–2 (November 23–24)** are spent exploring Maputo. By day, our guided tour winds through the city's Portuguese-influenced architecture, fresh-fish markets, and seaside promenades. By night, you'll dive into the food culture — peri-peri prawns, M'tsolo (matapa with prawns), and the upbeat live-music scene that earns Maputo its 'African Lisbon' nickname.
**Days 3–6 (November 25–28)** trade Maputo's pulse for Bilene's calm. Bilene's natural lagoon is shielded from the open ocean by a sand bar, creating glassy turquoise water perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, and slow lunches at lagoon-front lodges. A guided boat trip takes you out to the Indian Ocean, then back to the lagoon for sundowners.
**Day 7 (November 29)** is the shuttle home to Johannesburg.
